About Our Chapter

The Greater Chicago Chapter was incorporated in 1977 and currently has 300 members. Firm size is varied, and educational offerings are geared to serve the needs of all firms, regardless of size. Breakout groups for small, mid-size and large firm administrators meet monthly to address issues of particular concern to those groups.

All committees of the Greater Chicago Chapter, particularly the Professional Development Committee and the Continuing Education Committee, plan programs and workshops as well as presentations on "hot topics" which will benefit Chapter members.

Survey Committee members pull together the Annual Salary Survey as well as the Benefits Survey, which is produced every two years. Approximately 118 member firms participate in the Salary Survey and approximately 90 in the Benefits Survey. Results of both surveys are distributed to participants in May.

The Chapter also schedules Vendor Appreciation Events designed to show the appreciation of the Chapter for the support and extraordinary resources extended to Chapter members by some very special vendors.

The Chapter publishes a Newsletter, The Administrator's Advantage, which contains informational articles by members, vendors and consultants. Profiles of members are featured, as well as articles about ideas and programs that have been tried and proven successful by members. The Administrator's Advantage is published bi-monthly and is supported by vendors through ads as well as articles of interest.
