President's Message

Welcome to the portal that might very well make a difference in your life!  You have reached the website for the Greater Chicago Chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators. We are very proud of our chapter and its offerings to the legal community. Entering this website is one step closer to gaining education on a variety of topics, obtaining leads on vendors, and developing relationships with others who are in law firm management.

First, we have events and lots of them. These events are a prime opportunity to educate yourself on a variety of topics, to network with fellow colleagues, and to enhance your worth at your firm. We strive to provide timely topics with dynamic speakers for your benefit.

Second, go to the vendors' page to view the vendors who support the Chapter. These vendors have fellow law firm administrators as references and who have already proven themselves. We suggest you give them a call and while you are on the phone, thank them for their support. 

Third, check out the job bank page. Perhaps you need to post a position or maybe you are looking for one, either way this page can be a way to make a connection with another ALA firm. 

Fourth, relationships are a key to being successful and building them through ALA has many rewards for you and your firm. You have access to connecting with over 300 Chicagoland members, not to mention that there are over 10,000 ALA members across the world. The Chicago Chapter members’ only section provides you with contact information of fellow colleagues from firms of varying sizes and practice areas, who have needs that are probably similar to yours.  Not a member yet, what are you waiting for? Join us!

There are many more values that this portal can provide to you.  As the President for the Chapter, I encourage and challenge you to become involved. Being a member is one thing, but using the resources, networking, joining a committee, now that is where this portal can make a difference in your life.
